Information we collect
This website has no contact form and no form backend. Nothing you type on this site is transmitted to us or to any third party. Where the site offers to “message us”, it composes a message and opens it in your own WhatsApp app; you decide whether to send it, and it reaches us the same way any WhatsApp message would.
Information is collected automatically in three ways:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and how you found us. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as
_gaand_ga_NF3970KY5S) for this purpose. The data is aggregated and does not directly identify you. You can read how Google processes it at policies.google.com and opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. - Advertising. Our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, so the same Google tag also sets advertising cookies (such as
_gcl_au, and cookies set bydoubleclick.net). These let us measure whether our own ads bring people here, and show our ads again to people who have already visited. We do not sell this data, and no other company’s tracking pixel runs on this site. You can turn off ad personalisation for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com. - Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and delivery.
Booking
When you choose to book, the site sends you to our reservation system, operated on our behalf by StayFlexi, which opens in a new tab. Anything you enter there (your name, contact details and payment information) is collected and processed by that system under its own terms, not by this website. We pass it a label recording which page you started from, so we can tell how many guests book with us directly.
How we use information
To answer your questions, to take and honour your booking, to understand how the site is used, to advertise our own hostel, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to advertise anybody else’s business.
Cookies and your choices
This site does not show a cookie banner, so the analytics and advertising cookies described above are set when you arrive. You can remove or block them at any time in your browser settings, and the site will keep working normally without them. The two Google opt-out links above work independently of your browser settings.
Sharing
We share information only with the providers named above (Google for analytics and advertising, Cloudflare for hosting, StayFlexi for reservations), each acting on our behalf, or where required by law.
Data retention
Booking records are kept as long as needed to provide your stay and to meet our business and legal obligations. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your rights
You may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you using the contact details below. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
